Terms

Plain-language terms for using Starclaim. By connecting a wallet you agree to them.

What Starclaim is

Starclaim is a fan project and a registry. It helps you create a pump.fun coin for an IAU-named star from your own wallet and records which coin is the official one for each star. It is not affiliated with NASA, ESA, the IAU, pump.fun or any observatory. Star names belong to no one; claiming a star here gives you no rights to the star itself.

What you pay, and the fee split

Your chosen dev buy, Solana network fees and rent (about 0.02–0.03 SOL), and pump.fun's own trading fee. Every coin launched through Starclaim splits its pump.fun creator fees on-chain: 70% to the creator, 20% to the Starlight Fund and 10% to Starclaim. The split is set in the same approval as the launch and can't be changed afterwards. A coin without the split isn't registered.

The Starlight Fund

The fund books telescope time to photograph claimed stars and supports dark-sky and school astronomy work. It never pays coin holders, never runs a lottery or prize, and never ranks stars by trading volume. An observation is not a promise: weather, telescope availability and the queue rules decide when a star is photographed.

Rarity

Rarity tiers describe how bright a star looks from Earth. They are not a statement about value, price or future performance. Star sizes are approximate.

Your keys, your transactions

We never hold your keys. We never ask for a private key or seed phrase and never sign or send transactions on your behalf. You review and approve every transaction in your wallet, and you are responsible for what you sign.

One coin per star

Each star can be claimed once. A claim only counts after our server has verified the confirmed transactions and the fee split on Solana. If your transaction fails or your lock expires, the star isn't yours and may be claimed by someone else. We can't refund network fees or dev buys for transactions that land after a lock expires.

Risk

Memecoins are extremely risky, highly volatile and can go to zero. Nothing on Starclaim is financial, investment or legal advice. Solana transactions are irreversible. Only use what you can afford to lose, and follow the laws where you live.

Notifications

Starclaim shows launch and observation notifications in open tabs. You can turn them off at any time with the Alerts button; the setting is stored only in your browser.

Data

We store your public wallet address, your locks and claims, and confirmed launch data. We don't store emails or keys. Public data (stars, tickers, shortened wallets, coin addresses, the fund ledger) is visible to everyone.

No warranty

Starclaim is provided as-is, without warranties. We may pause claims or launches at any time, for example if a dependency like pump.fun changes.
